Because your government should work for you.
The government should make your life better, not serve the interests of billionaires and corporations.
How are your elected representatives making your life better?
The appalling events sweeping our nation since the second inauguration of Donald Trump have led to a resounding question from progressives everywhere: “Where are the Democrats?” Who can the American people depend on to meet the current political moment and stand up to Trump and his pet oligarchs? Many establishment Democrats, sitting comfortably in their secure political careers and guarding their carefully padded investment portfolios, have failed to respond with the bold leadership that the Trump era requires. Too many of our current Democrat elected officials are out of touch with the pressing issues facing ordinary Americans.
Donald Trump won the 2024 election partially because he spoke to a very real anger that average Americans have felt for a long time–anger that the government has been working only for the interests of the wealthy. Americans are fully justified in feeling this way, because it’s true! For too long, establishment Democrats have failed us by joining the right in serving the interests of the status quo (and profiting off it themselves), which is why the majority of mainstream Democrats are completely unable to meet the current political moment. Right now, stopping Trump’s headlong charge toward fascism is the most important national issue, but the way to push against a far-right agenda is to have an actual plan for the future. Something to vote for not just against.
My campaign is focused on how I can work to support you and your needs now, while looking towards the future that we want to live in. One that prioritizes the wellbeing of normal people. Where dignity is not conditional. Where children don’t go hungry, housing is affordable, and everyone has clean air to breathe. These are not pipe dreams, these are policy choices. And it’s time for the American people to ask why their government hasn’t been making them.
